SAT/PSAT Prep Classes Description

Accelerated SAT Prep Class - Concentrated SAT hyper learning designed for
high school juniors and seniors who are taking the SAT soon and require intense
test prep.
Session I: Class Start Date: 9/12/2010 in preparation for SAT Test Date of December
4, 2010
Session II: Class Start Date: 12/12/2010 in preparation for SAT Test Date of March
12, 2011
Session III: Class Start Date: 3/6/2011 in preparation for SAT Test Date of June
4, 2011
- Each session is 11 weeks long. Class meets once per week for 3 hours.
- Each 3-hour class includes: 1 hour SAT Math, 1 hour SAT Critical Reading and 1
hour SAT Writing.
- Each session will include a full length diagnostic SAT and at least 2 practice
SAT tests.
- An extra benefit of this program is one free session of college application and
college essay review with Ivy Apps.

Comprehensive SAT Prep Class - Comprehensive SAT preparation designed for
high school freshmen and sophomores who have more time before their SATs.
- Class meets once per week for 2 hours for the whole school year (a total of 30
weeks).
- Each 2-hour class includes: 50 minutes SAT Math, 70 minutes SAT Critical Reading
and Writing.
- A full length diagnostic SAT test will be administered at the beginning of the
course, followed by a full-length SAT practice test each trimester to track students'
progress and to map strengths and weaknesses.
- Parents receive trimester progress reports.

PSAT/NMSQT Prep Class - Comprehensive PSAT preparation designed to teach
middle school students how to excel on their PSATs. This is a great program for
7th - 9th grade students to get a head start on preparing
for their ultimate SATs.
- Class meets once per week for 2 hours for the whole school year (a total of 30
weeks).
- Each 2-hour class includes: 50 minutes PSAT Math, 70 minutes PSAT Critical Reading
and Writing.
- This program introduces and familiarizes the students to the SAT-type testing
content and is an excellent introduction to the SAT or for preparing for the NMSQT.
- The course content will cover all SAT content with the exception of the essay
and algebra II, which are not tested on the PSAT.
- A full length diagnostic PSAT test will be administered at the beginning of the
course, followed by a full-length PSAT practice test each trimester to track students'
progress and to map strengths and weaknesses.
- Parents receive trimester progress reports.
