Dear Parents,
Our inaugural flu shots campaign last Sunday was very successful!! But some people could not be in school last Sunday and therefore missed the opportunity. Dr. Li has generously agreed to come back again on October 23!
Everyone is welcome. Details are below. Register by replying to this email or sign up at the Admin Desk this Sunday.

- MLCCC’s Flu Shots Again on OCT 23 - Free Shots for Seniors, Limited Availability, Non-Senior Adults Can Use Insurance or Pay $20, Register This Sunday
Due to popular demand, we will host a repeat of our Flu Shots event on Oct. 23! Thank you to the Penn Medicine CAREs Grant program and the volunteer services of Dr. Weiguo Li of the Penn Union Medical Center (PUMC at www.wvlimd.com)!
Just like last Sunday, the flu shots are for:
Seniors of our community: free;
Adults with insurance: bring insurance card, Dr. Li will charge your insurance;
Adults who want to pay $20 (Dr. Li is waiving syringe and administration fee, hence much less expensive than at other places);
Everyone is welcome!
Please reply to this email or sign up at the Admin Desk and get a timely Flu Shot and peace of mind for the Flu season!
- If Still Need Textbooks, Email Us
From now on, if you still need to buy a textbook, please email us so we can bring your specific textbook to school. We will no longer carry lots of textbooks to school every Sunday.
- Halloween Costumes and Other Attires Exchange or Sale This Sunday
PTO is offering a platform to reuse all good costumes that your kids may have outgrown. You can exchange with or sell to someone who may be able to use them! Also, we welcome non-Halloween attire as well. Any attire (fancy dresses, Chinese outfits, snow bibs, etc.) can be brought to school this Sunday to sell.
PTO charges minimal fees based on the items you put on sale and the net dollars you gain. The maximum fee charged will be $5 per family. If you are considering donating the items to PTO for sale, we appreciate your generosity for sure!
- Karaoke This Sunday in Room 166
MLCCC Idols, come on! It’s your show time! The Karaoke machine will be available this Sunday in room 166. Everyone is welcome to come and sing along!
- Taichi Class Resumes This Sunday @3pm
Ready for exercise this week? Mrs. Shao is back to teach the free Taichi class this Sunday. Come join with comfortable clothes and shoes!
- Moving from Crowded Classes to Less Crowded Classes
We have several very crowded classes. If you can move to a different time slot, that will be very helpful. Below is a list. Thank you to those who have already moved!
3pm CSL Level 1 (13 students) vs. 1pm CSL Level 1 (5 students)
3pm Kids Dance (16 students) vs. 2pm Kids Dance (4 students) or 4pm Kids Dance (9 students)
3pm Mathcounts (14 students) vs. 4pm Mathcounts (4 students)
3pm Drawing with Ms. Wang (12 students) vs. 2pm (5 students) or 4pm (7 students)
3pm Tennis (18 students) vs. 2pm (11 students) and 4pm (12 students)
- Free English Class for Grandparents is Now on @4pm in Room 147
This is offered to all grandparents of our school’s students. So join us to have some fun together, grandparents! Non-grandparents are welcome as well.

- Chinese Schools Ping Pong Tournament at Delaware ChunHui (春晖) Chinese School
We have parents interested in playing games, but need more players, referees, coaches, and team captain. If anyone interested in any of the positions, please let the Admin know.
The following announcement is from the Greater Philadelphia Chinese School Union (大费城地区中文学校联合会) to each Chinese school:
按照今年中文学校联合会理事会的决定，我们将在11月12日（星期六）下午1点至6点举办中文学校联合会的首届校际间乒乓球比赛。地点是Delaware的春晖中文学校。时间已经很紧迫了，希望各校抓紧组队。
项目包括团体，男单，女单，男双，女双及混双。
报名截止日期10月31日。
我校现正有四名球员报名，但是需要教练和两位裁判。请来Admin desk报名。
各项比赛的前3名颁发奖品，所有参与者有纪念奖，裁判也有纪念奖。各中文学校出资$100，共同承担费用。（明朗 will pay for our parents to participate.)
