A word of deep appreciation and gratitude to our PTO: our new PTO has started this school year with big bangs on many fronts in our community: from versatile food/drink/seminar services to formation of the homeroom parent’s organization, to fresh and healthy supplies at our school store, they have exemplified the spirit of volunteerism and dynamism.  Each member of the PTO, whether an old or new member, has set an excellent example for their child(ren) and our children. This lead-by-example is invaluable and will positively impact the children for a lifetime. We just want to say: Thank You!


1. MLCCC Annual Flu Shot Campaign is This Sunday at 2PM near School Store

Made possible by a generous grant from Penn Medicine CAREs Grant Program (awarded to our Principal Mr. Qunbin Xiong from www.pennmedicine.org) and the volunteer services of Dr. Weiguo Li of Penn Union Medical Center (PUMC at www.wvlimd.com)!   


Seniors of MLCCC community: FREE;

Adults with insurance: bring insurance card, Dr. Li will charge your insurance;

Adults without insurance: $20/dose, cash or check, no credit card (Dr. Li is waiving syringe and administration fee, hence much less expensive than at other places);


We encourage you to sign up HERE in advance so that Dr. Li can plan the total number of doses to bring. One Sign-Up for each person to be vaccinated. Thank you.


2. SAFETY ALERT: Students Cannot Carry Martial Arts Staffs into Classroom Wing - Students Must Leave Martial Arts Staffs Near Martial Arts Class  

Otherwise, it is too dangerous, even if one student carries the staff horizontally or waves it around.  If you see a student carrying the staff in our classroom wing, tell him/her to bring the staff to his/her martial arts class or the Admin Desk.  Thank you to the teacher and parent who suggested this.


Safety Ambassadors will continue to patrol hallways with “Stop” signs.  Please follow their safety advice. Safety is everyone’s responsibility, so we welcome more volunteers to sign up as Safety Ambassadors. Thank you.


3. Chinese Books from Radnor Library on Sale This Sunday 2PM-3PM

Come and check out the varied collection of Chinese books, for preview and purchase, from the Radnor Township Library.


4. Martial Artist Performance in Admin Hallway, 2PM

Mr. Valentino Rudi, our Martial Arts Teacher, has been continuously praised by our parents this school year on his proactive teaching and management of our Martial Arts classes. We thank him for his dedicated effort to build a top quality program at MLCCC. Being a student himself of the famous martial artist Mr. Zhao Changjun, he also worked to have our program recognized by Mr. Zhao Changjun’s Wushu Academy.  Our students have made big strides in learning and can now proudly wear the Academy’s uniforms. Mr. Rudi will showcase his class this Sunday, 2PM, at the Admin Hallway. Come and check them out!


5. Halloween Costume Exchange - Last Chance This Sunday

Exchange, sell or buy.  See cute event Flyer here from our PTO.

Special thanks to PTO member Carol Wen for her providing a clothing rack and transporting it back and forth every week!


6. Trick or Treat Candy Donation

Thank you to the parents who have already donated!  The more the merrier! Give to PTO this week or next week.  Candy should be in original package, unexpired, and preferably nuts-free.  Loose candy is not accepted.     


7. Chinese Opera in KOP: $10/Ticket & Buy 2 Get 1 Free 费城京剧社成立20周年演出, 在学校买票$10一张并买二送一!

Saturday, November 10, 2PM-5PM, Upper Merion Area Middle School in KOP.

8. United Way Campaign: MLCCC Donor Code is 45966
