MLCCC 2018-04-22 news letter
Dear Parents,
Thank you to many parents and the PTO, for your strong support of our annual Character Recognition Contest last Sunday! It was a great success and continues this Sunday for CHL grades 4+ and CSL. One clarification is that for CHL grades 4-8, out of the 150 contest words, 50 will be from all previous grades, not just one previous grade level. We have already emailed all the contestants on this clarification.
We are working on next school year’s classes and this year’s Persistency Award winners. Thank you for everyone’s patience.
Parent On Duty/周日值班: This Sunday, April 22 , Thank You!

Clarification: for CHL grades 4-8, out of the 150 contest words, 50 will be from all previous grades, not just one previous grade level. We have already emailed all the contestants on this clarification.
Special note on the contest: this year, the contest will be carried out in the format of PPT (PowerPoint slide show) on a laptop computer, very much like the review videos that we have sent out during Spring Break. The contest PPT will have a set timer to advance the screen automatically. Contestants need to recognize the characters within the time frame (6 seconds for CHL and 10 seconds for CSL, CSL students must also translate the characters.) Judges can click to advance the PPT faster.
See 3/11/18 email for the detailed contest rules.
