1. 社区讲座: “如何安排在美的老年生活” Seminar in Chinese on “Elderly Life in the U.S.”

This Sunday, 3PM, Room 166.  Presented by 陈智俐 of 爱华疗养和康复中心.  See attached seminar flyer in Chinese.


2. Halloween Costume Exchange (Free) - This Week and Every Week Until Halloween  

Bring a gently used costume to School Store to exchange for a “new to you” costume for free.  If you just want to buy one, that is welcome too. Sponsored by our PTO, see attached cute flyer from our PTO. 

Our Trick-or-Treat is October 28, 2:45pm-3:05pm


3. Philadelphia Chinese Opera’s Society’s 20th Anniversary Performance in KOP: $10/Ticket & Buy 2 Get 1 Free 费城京剧社成立20周年演出, 在学校买票$10一张并买二送一!

Tickets: $10.  If buy at school, buy 2 get one free.  Or you can buy online here.  50% of ticket sales are donated to MLCCC!     


Date: Saturday, November 10, 2PM-5PM

Place: Upper Merion Area Middle School (450 Keebler Road, KOP, PA 19406)

Performers: Philadelphia Chinese Opera Society

Art Director: Li Shuyuan 李淑媛 国家一级演员

Music Director: Zhao Wanjin 赵万金 国家一级乐师

With English and Chinese subtitles, their performances have received rave reviews. See attached flyer.


4.  Orchestra/Band Club - 3PM in Room 156 This Week, Then Every Other Week


5. China Press 侨报’s Essay Contest - Submission Deadline Oct 15, 2018

For children ages 8-16 who are born in the U.S. or have been in the U.S. for 5+ years.  Click HERE for details in Chinese. We ask our teachers and parents to encourage children to participate this annual event. Thank you.
