Dear Parents,
Hope everyone is staying warm in the cold weather. Please note that our Weekend School will break for the holidays on Sunday Dec. 25 and Sunday Jan. 1. So there are two more classes (including this Sunday) for the rest of 2016. Classes resume in 2017 on Jan. 8. Then a few weeks after that is our Chinese New Year Gala on Jan. 29!

其子2014年毕业于特拉华州一所普通高中Newark High School,GPA在校排名40名。2014年录取到Carnegie Mellon University。讲座主要从个人经历和所收集的数据总结,探讨一下怎么样把一个各方面比较一般的小孩,尽量推到比较好的大学。
My son graduated an ordinary high school in Delaware - Newark High School (Out of national rank list, average SAT score: 1485 in 2014), and GPA rank was ~40. He entered Carnegie Mellon University.
This seminar is exploring the better pathway to enter prestigious universities for an ordinary high school student according to personal experience and the collected data. The seminar is divided into:
A. What kind of student is favorited by prestigious colleges?
B. How to Grab Hydrangea Thrown from the Prestigious Colleges?
1. What kinds of preparations the student needs to do;
2. How and when to do these preparations and how parents can help;
3. How to pick the colleges that fit you and with high acceptance opportunity;
4. The items that we need to pay attention to.
C. The experience in Financial Aid
1. How to calculate the college tuition;
2. The possible pathway for reducing the tuition.
D. College is a new starting point for Life

- Children’s Chorus Starts This Sunday 12:30pm-1pm in Room 166
Our Children’s Chorus will start rehearsing this Sunday during 12:30pm-1pm in Room 166. The songs will be in Chinese. If anyone is interested and has not told us already, please reply to this email or let us know at the Admin Desk. Thank you to our Chorus teacher Ms. Wen Li.
- Parents Basketball Shooting Game on 12/18 - Registration Continues
ATTENTION PARENTS!
Come join this fun activity with other parents! Shoot ten balls into a hoop to get school dollars for your kids! The top three scorers will be rewarded 20, 10, and 5 school dollars. All other shooters will be given 2 school dollars for participation. Show up at the gym December 18th at 1pm to shoot some hoops! Volunteer judges are needed! Come join in the fun!
