- Successful Mid-Year Language Teachers Training Meeting
Last Saturday, in light of our two senior teachers being awarded by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council as Outstanding Chinese Language teachers abroad, Admin hosted our school’s first planned mid-school-year language teachers meeting, which was in addition to our usual pre-school-year meeting. Almost all language teachers attended and enjoyed discussing and sharing about various topics such as teaching methods/materials/ideas, and more. The goal was to communicate, share and therefore improve our teaching process. We were moved by our teachers’ dedication - every teacher is putting in extra effort to tailor the materials to his/her specific group of students. Thank you to our hardworking and committed teachers.

- The 2018 Annual Chinese New Year Community Gala and Culture Fair: Free!
Produced by MLCCC since 2007, this FREE culture event brings together hundreds of Philadelphia area’s families every year to celebrate the Chinese New Year. The Gala will showcase Chinese folk dances, music, Taiji, martial arts, folk songs, and other splendid performances from our talented students & parents. Afterwards, the Culture Fair will offer plenty of activities for children and parents of all ages to enjoy. There are arts to design and take home at the calligraphy and paper cutting workshops, prizes to be won at the chopstick competition, and lots more fun to be had with a spinning handkerchief,
and other traditional Chinese games. One can also explore the various exhibits on display and learn about fascinating aspects of Chinese culture such as the history of tea. And, of course, savor delicious Chinese cuisine.

We welcome people from all walks of life to join us for a day of unique Chinese cultural experiences.
