Gala and Culture Fair is the biggest culture event that we organize every year and is much anticipated by the surrounding community. It symbolizes the importance of what teachers are teaching and what our students are learning. The preparation is a test of how well we do in both areas. So, we sincerely ask everyone at the MLCCC community to lend a helping hand any way you can and put the best performance possible. At the same time, please help us share this wonderful community news with people around you, invite your friends, bring along your neighbors, come and join us for the 2018 MLCCC Chinese New Year Community Gala and Culture Fair! The 2018 Annual Chinese New Year Community Gala and Culture Fair: Free!

Produced by MLCCC since 2007, this FREE culture event brings together hundreds of Philadelphia area’s families every year to celebrate the Chinese New Year. The Gala will showcase Chinese folk dances, music, Taiji, martial arts, folk songs, and other splendid performances from our talented students & parents. Afterwards, the Culture Fair will offer plenty of activities for children and parents of all ages to enjoy. There are arts to design and take home at the calligraphy and paper cutting workshops, prizes to be won at the chopstick competition, and lots more fun to be had with a spinning handkerchief, and other traditional Chinese games. One can also explore the various exhibits on display and learn about fascinating aspects of Chinese culture such as the history of tea. And, of course, savor delicious Chinese cuisine.

A Cultural Celebration for the entire Greater Philadelphia Community:

The Gala and Culture Fair has become more popular each year, bringing together over a thousand local residents and even special guests such as PA State Senator Andrew Dinniman, Chester County Commissioner Terence Farrell, and former Congressman Jim Gerlach. We welcome people from all walks of life to join us for a day of unique Chinese cultural experiences. Moreover, media coverage such 6ABC, NBC10, FOX29, Main Line Media News, and the Daily Local News of Chester County have also brought our event’s highlights to the living rooms of many more thousands of local area families.
