Details:
- Congratulations on MLCCC Children’s Dance Troupe’s Successful Performance at the Central Free Library of Philadelphia Today!!
Thank you to all the dance troupe parents (specially Carol Wen and Sherry Feng, for their on-site supervision and facilitation), our dance troupe children, and our Dance Teacher Weiwei Ma for their great efforts in putting together an awesome performance! They have been coming to school an hour early for weeks in order to practice; not to mention all the efforts and coordination on performance day.
By invitation from the W. E. Culture Exchange Institute as a part of the Benjamin Franklin 100 years anniversary celebrations, MLCCC's Children's Dance Troupe, joined by other Chinese organizations and local young artists, brought two marvelous performances that were both touching and inspiring to the audiences! They have done a superb job and made us proud! Thank you our “dancing stars”!
- Reminders on Campus and Hallway Safety, Classroom Rules
Thank you to the many parents who listened to our pleas from last newsletter! We’re posting them again as a friendly reminder worth repeating. Please:
-Do Not Use Our Wing’s Entrance - Safety First
We want to continue to remind all parents to please walk along with your children and enter through the Main Entrance. GVHS has already posted a “NO ENTRY” sign on that wing’s entrance. Thank you!
-Keep GVHS CAMPUS AND CLASSROOMS Clean
We have been renting GVHS since 2007. This is our “home”, and we ask everyone to treat it like a home: please care for the facility and clean up after yourself and respect GVHS’s classroom rules at all times. Thank you.
-Put Back Brown Metal Chairs
To keep the hallways hazards free and reduce cleanup task, we want to remind parents to please return the brown metal chairs to the container near the Admin Desk when you're finished with them. Thank you.
-Parents Please Refrain from Sitting in Classes
We have received feedback from some of the teachers and need to ask parents to refrain from sitting in the classes. With teamed-up help from our classroom TAs and homeroom parents, parents can rest assured that their children’s needs will be attended to in a timely manner during class. Therefore, there is really no need for parents to sit in the classroom with their children. Additionally, children accompanied by adults usually are less independent in learning compared to others. (If you feel strongly that your child need you to be there in the classroom, please ask for teacher’s approval in advance.) We would like our teachers to have a controlled teaching environment. Thank you for your attention and cooperation!
