Details:
- NO PARKING on road right outside of main entrance of GVHS
Most of our parents park in the parking lot, and we thank you for that!
To the few parents who have parked right outside the main entrance of GVHS, that road is a fire lane and parking on it is prohibited, even if you park for just a few minutes while you pick up your children. Police have ticketed there before. Also, cars sometimes park on not only the right side but also the left side of the same road, so when GVHS drives over their large tour buses, those buses cannot drive through if both sides of the road are parked with cars. Please do what the majority of our parents do and park in the parking lot.
- Karaoke Available This Week in Room 166 @1pm-5pm
MLCCC idols, come show your singing talent! The karaoke machine, microphones and our applause are all available and waiting ... just for our singers!
- MLCCC Lion Dance Team Is Looking for Members
Our Lion Dance Team’s performance at our Gala last year was one of the event’s highlights, especially when the lions walked through the audience and interacted with our children! The Lion Dance was even recorded by the Main Line Media News newspaper! See photos and videos below:

We would like to repeat last year’s success by assembling a MLCCC Lion Dance team again this year to perform at our Gala to recreate the same wonderful memory for our children this year!! Same as last year, our Martial Arts teacher Mr. Valentino Rudi will be the coach. Parents and older children are welcome to join us. No prior experience is needed. If interested, please reply to this email or sign up at the Admin Desk.
- Safety: Use Main Entrance, Supervise Children
In consideration of safety, we want to remind everyone to please use the main entrance to ENTER and LEAVE the school building. The doors at our wing are only for special occasions when GVHS has a special event and we specifically say our wing’s door is open. Entering and leaving from the doors at our wing have many safety concerns, especially if students are not supervised, because the road immediately outside those doors is an extremely busy road. We have also found those doors kept open purposely by someone in order to make it a little more convenient for him/herself. Please remember that our students’ safety is our top priority. A little longer walk (through the main entrance) makes our school a little safer.
Please also make sure that there is someone supervising your child(ren) coming in and out of their classrooms, especially while transitioning to the next class. Our teachers will supervise our students in the classrooms. But once our students leave the classrooms, parents need to supervise. On Sundays, the school is an open public space where anyone can walk in. Additionally, on most Sundays, other groups use the space here too. Basically, lots of different people can or are coming into the same space. Please be vigilant at all times. If you see anything suspicious, please let Admin know asap.
- Children’s Chorus at 12:30pm Starts After Thanksgiving
Continuing on the success of our prior Adult Chorus, Ms. Wen Li is organizing a Children’s Chorus that will start rehearsing during 12:30pm-1pm from after Thanksgiving to Chinese New Year Gala. The songs will be in Chinese. If anyone is interested and has not told us already, please reply to this email or let us know at the Admin Desk. Thank you to Ms. Wen Li.
