Hope you had a restful Thanksgiving holiday.  Our school resumes this Sunday.


From Admin: Thank you to all the students, teachers and parents who took part in signing the PTO’s “Wall of Thankfulness”. It was a perfect prelude to the Thanksgiving holiday weekend! The “wall” has been artistically reconstituted into a heart-warming greeting card and sent through various platforms to our community. It is MLCCC’s way to say: Thank You!

2.  From 侨报消息 China Press 2017-11-23:

2017年《侨报》第六届华兴杯美国少年儿童中文大赛活动中,明朗有六位选手参赛,他们是:曾佑夫、朱海玲、杨乐盈、葛子华、陆梦乐、王鸥雅。

其中,曾佑夫、杨乐盈、葛子华、陆梦乐、王鸥雅被筛选进入第二轮的比赛,将有机会争夺第一, 二, 三名。恭喜他们进入复赛阶段。预祝他们在12月3日(这周星期日)下午1:30PM, 在费城唐人街“好朋友老人活动中心” 进行的复赛中取得优异成绩!


Six Students from MLCCC entered the Chinese Essay Contest hosted by China Press Media: Joseph Zeng, Helen Zhu, Joyce Yeo, William Ge, Joy Lu and Olivia Wang.  Proud of them for entering!    

5 of them: Joseph Zeng, Joyce Yeo, William Ge, Joy Lu and Olivia Wang advanced to the next round.  Congratulations and best of luck to them in the next round held this Sunday, December 3 in Chinatown!       


3. In Case You Missed: MYM Presentation at MLCCC:

We had a dozen of parents attended this special seminar from MYM (www.mindingyourmind.org) on November the 19th. It was a great presentation and has incited some good questions and discussion between our parents and the MYM staff. Most importantly, it has started the conversation among our parents. You can learn more about the MYM and how they can help your children and your children’s schools. Minding Your Mind is he leading provider of youths mental health programs to school communities, on the web at  http://mindingyourmind.org. MLCCC PTO thanks them for their on-site presentation!

Grace-Hope Educational Consulting was founded in 2013 with the mission of helping Chinese families reduce anxiety as they navigate through the complex private middle/high school and college search process in the USA and providing students with an international learning experience for future career success.


Our company is always searching for enthusiastic hosting families for our international students (middle and high school). With our team support, you will work directly with the student and their parents, providing individualized guidance and advice throughout their study period.

5.  Beijing Duck House Visits Again This Sunday

Old favorites and new additions.  They welcome everyone to check them out.  See menus attached.


6.   Upa Yoga and Isha Kriya, Group Instruction Continues,1- 3 PM, 2nd Floor Hallway

“Upa Yoga” essentially means “sub-yoga” or “pre-yoga”. This program offers a simple yet powerful set of 10 practices that activate the joints, muscles, and energy system, bringing ease to the whole system. Anyone who is 7yrs of age or above can practice Upa Yoga.

Benefits of Upa Yoga: Relieves physical stress and tiredness; Strengthens the joints and muscles; Rejuvenates the body after periods of inactivity; Negates the effects of jetlag and long travel. See attached.
