1.  Community Seminar “Give a Child a Strong Financial Foundation”

This Sunday, 3PM, Room 156.  Presented by Gloria Wu of New York Life. See, all welcome.

2.  Trick or Treat Goodies Donation

Calling all families to donate (preferably nuts free) goodies for this year’s Trick-or-Treat (which is on October 28, 2:45pm-3: 05 pm).  Give to PTO this week, next week, or Oct 28.  Thank you to everyone for your generosity last year which made our event such a big success!    

3. Halloween Costume Exchange (Free) Continues Until Halloween

4. Philadelphia Chinese Opera’s Society’s 20th Anniversary Performance in KOP: $10/Ticket & Buy 2 Get 1 Free 费城京剧社成立20周年演出, 在学校买票$10一张并买二送一!

Date: Saturday, November 10, 2PM-5PM

Place: Upper Merion Area Middle School (450 Keebler Road, KOP, PA 19406)

With English and Chinese subtitles, their performances have received rave reviews. See flyer at link.

Tickets: $10.  If buy at school, buy 2 get one free (Only if buying at MLCCC).  Or you can buy online here.  50% of ticket sales are donated to MLCCC!     

5. China Press 侨报’s Essay Contest - Submission Deadline Oct 15, 2018

For children ages 8-16 who are born in the U.S. or have been in the U.S. for 5+ years.  Click HERE for details in Chinese. Please encourage your children to participate in this annual event. Thank you.

6.  United Way Campaign: United Way MLCCC Donor Code is 45966:

If your companies are having the annual United Way campaigns, please consider designating your contribution to Main Line Chinese Culture Center. Don't forget the match program too if there is one. Your support will help our students to learn and our teachers to teach. Our agency code is #45966. Let us know if you need help making this choice. Thank you!

7. We now have our MLCCC Safety Ambassadors patrolling the hallways during recess, they will wear a badge and have a “Stop” sign with them. Please tell children to follow their safety instructions if called upon. Safety is everyone’s responsibility, we are serious about it. Thank you.
